42 inches Roll RC Paper

In the previous post, I was dissatisfied with the availability of roll photographic paper.、I wrote about the challenge to Archival Pigment Print.、In parallel with that work, I was also printing on roll photographic paper in a dark room.。This time it will be held at two venues at the same time、Both venues will exhibit works taken on the streets of the city of Tokyo.、I wanted to change the exhibition method for each venue.。
The exhibition at Nihonbashi Takashimaya was actually decided two years ago.。From that time on, devise a rough exhibition concept、I was steadily preparing。on the other hand、The exhibition at ZEN FOTO GALLERY was decided only a few months ago.。Because it was an offer while I was busy making photobooks、I thought it would be difficult to hold it at the same time, so I thought I should turn it down for a moment.。However, in the next moment, the idea of the current exhibition method passed through my head.、I accepted the exhibition with the desire to make it happen.。The exhibition method is to cover the wall of ZEN FOTO GALLERY with RC roll paper (RC roll paper is usually available).。Then, staring at the wall view and examining the exhibition size and the number of sheets that can be exhibited.。Two steps of 1100mm size photos to match the lowest 2200mm high wall in the gallery、I found that I needed a total of 24 works。Processing of corners on the wall of the gallery、How to open and close the door of the storage space in the wall、There were a number of issues that hadn't been resolved,、Anyway, I bought a roll photographic paper、Reserve an open darkroom on Saturdays and Sundays and proceed with the enlargement work。It was my first experience to finish this many roll prints at once.、At the end of the day's work, I'm exhausted、After returning home, I fell asleep to fall asleep。Still in the next day's work、When you look at the large print that is in focus for stretching, you will feel more energetic.。I feel "the ecstasy of black-and-white photography" in this series of work.。
