Taipei Gourmet, November 2025

A day in the life of Master Shen Zhaoliang

Fourth day in Taipei、Stay in the gallery for a little while、In the evening, I was able to participate as a guest in a workshop-like event hosted by Mr. Shen.。It takes about 20 minutes by taxi to New Taipei City, which is a little far from Taipei city.。At first I thought of going by public transportation.、I got lost a lot because I misread Google Maps.、When I was in trouble, I chose Uber.。I was a little late when I arrived at the venue, the New Taipei City Government Shenkeng District Promotion and Citizen Activities Center.、Mr. Shen and the students were waiting for us at the entrance.。I didn't know the outline of this workshop (hereinafter referred to as WS) until I actually participated.、It seems to be a photographer training course for Mr. Shen's university graduates.、Once a month since most of the participants are working adults、Apparently it's held on Sunday。I joined from around 4pm.、Apparently this WS starts at 9am.。On this day, Mr. Shen was introducing a photo book rich in design from his collection.。after that、Mr. Shen led the explanation of my work and about the independently managed gallery in Tokyo.、Also, about the existence and nature of Japanese photography awards.、Proceed in a conversation format。I ended up mostly just answering questions.、The enthusiasm for photography can be felt from the sincere attitude of the students.。hot! WHITECROW Photography Gallery

When I came to Taipei to participate in Photo ONE in May this year、At the book fair of the same event, there were three customers who each purchased an original print set of my book ``Tokyo Circulation.''。名刺を頂いていたので帰国後調べてみると、「晗光行（WHITECROW）攝影藝廊」というPlatinum Printの工房とギャラリーを運営するグループだった。今回訪れたい場所として事前にリストアップしていたので、展示の合間を縫って地下鉄に乗って訪問してみる。 いわゆる観光には興味がないので知らなかったのだが、このエリア（永康街区）は人気の観光スポットらしく、街中には観光客向けの店が多くとても賑わっている。その路地裏にオシャレな看板を発見。 A bright and stylish gallery with a bright white-painted entrance and tropical ornamental plants.。 The inside of the gallery is also designed with creativity.、It's a nice space where you can calmly face each piece of work.。As mentioned earlier、This gallery also functions as a workshop.、プラチナプリントや製本のワークショップを行っている。現在は林肇圀さんの個展「無題劇場」を開催中でした。美しいモノクロのイメージ。 何冊かのポートフォリオと手作り写真集も展示してあったので、一冊ずつ手にとって見る。作者が丁寧に説明してくれた。どのシリーズも社会的なテーマをユーモアのある手法で表現していてとても面白かった。 作者の林肇圀さん、とても気さくで親しみやすい人柄。良い時間を過ごすことが出来ました。 晗光行（WHITECROW）攝影藝廊 ≫ FaceBook ≫ Instagram

5日間の台北滞在を終えて、一昨日深夜に帰国しました。短い期間でしたが今回もなかなかの充実した滞在で、1839當代藝廊での個展のみならず、様々なイベントに参加させて頂いた。その様子を各日ごとに紹介いたします。 11月27日の午後に台北の松山空港に到着、日本から発送した作品とブックマットは既に到着していると事前に連絡を頂いていたので、今日は一日搬入作業だ。…と思っていたのだが。ギャラリーに到着すると事前に送っていたレイアウトの図面通りに、既に額装されて設営は完璧に終了していた。Mr. Qiu, gallery owner、Thank you for。so、I took out my luggage, including photo books sold at the venue, from my suitcase and checked into the hotel.。I have visited Taipei many times.、I was with gallery members and students every time.、When I thought about it, it was my first time coming alone.。インターネットでたまたま見つけた安ホテルはギャラリーから徒歩5分ほどの好立地、値段の割に清潔でシャワーとトイレも完備している。少し休憩してからギャラリーに戻り、邱さんと妻のGinaさんと合流して食事に行く。（グルメレポートは今回の滞在記の最終回にまとめて紹介します） 滞在二日目は遅い朝食を食べてからギャラリーに行き、展示レイアウトの微調整などを行う。展示初日は平日ということもあり来場者は少なめで、人がいない時間帯は近所をぶらぶら散策。閉廊前にはお仕事で台北滞在中の写真家の中藤毅彦さんがギャラリーを訪れてくれた。しばし歓談後にタクシーに乗って今日のイベント会場である薄霧書店に向かう。 台北でのトークイベントは何回か行っているが、いわゆるソロイベントは初めてのこと。集客が心配だったので、先週開催されていたTaipei Art Book Fairに参加していた学生たちに依頼して、フライヤーの配布などを手伝ってもらったのでした。 平日の夜ということもあり参加者はさほど多くはなかったが、Taipei Art Book Fairでフライヤーを貰って参加したという人などもいてくれて、学生たちには感謝しています。そして中藤さんもお仕事仲間を連れて来て一緒に参加してくれました。こちらも感謝です！ お客さんの多少にかかわらず、スライドトークが始まればいつも通りにやるだけ。リアクションもよく、質問なども多く、良いイベントになったと自負しております。完璧な日本語で通訳してくれた林詩硯 / Lin Shih-yenさんにも感謝いたします。 イベント終了後は写真集の販売とサイニング。それらが全て終了したのが22時をまわっていたので、タクシーでホテルに向かい、コンビニでビールを買ってこの日はぐっすり就寝。…したかったのですが、ホテルの部屋の階下がカラオケ店？のようで深夜まで騒音が収まらなかった。部屋は清潔で充実しているが、やはり安いのには理由がありますね。

PhotoONE 2025; Photo Fair: Photo Fair, a newly planned project from this PhotoONE 2025。I've also received a request to participate in the TPPG.、After carefully considering how to find the booth fee and the cost-effectiveness, I declined this time.。I decided to wait and see。The venue layout is simple and uses wooden frames and plywood, so there is no paint.。It's undeniable that it feels simple compared to Photo Fair like Paris Photo.、Still, the booth fee is about 1/10 (approximately), so it's impossible。And it has nothing to do with the construction of the walls、Good works are good! While planning to exhibit next year or later、We kept an eye on the number of visitors and sales.。 In addition to Seto Masato's works, the PLACE M booth、Moriyama Daimichi, Seto's collection、Fukase Masahisa、Featuring works by Kurata Seiji。As someone who loves monochrome darkroom prints, this is a collection of great items that you will be greeted by.。I feel hesitant to even talk in front of these works.。Of course, I couldn't even turn it over。I watched the show while being flipped over by Morimoto, the person in charge of the booth.。Eyes are blessed!
